Durolux – Solvent Based 2K Acrylic Primer

DUROLUX is a clear, solvent based, 2 component acrylic undercoat with high water resistant and vapor permeability. It exhibits strong adhesion and high penetration in porous surfaces such as plaster, concrete, bricks, plaster boards etc. and also surfaces coated with low quality paints or distempers. It is resistant to moisture and provides an ideal undercoat for emulsion paints, acrylics, masonry paints, relief and water-proofing coatings. It is recommended to be used on surfaces which experience excessive atmospheric stress, such as: exterior surfaces by the seaside or surfaces covered in snow most of the time.

Use on: Every exterior and interior surface made of concrete, plaster, asbestos cement, bricks, etc.

Application: Apply by roller, brush or airless gun spray.

Packing: It is available in 1Lt, 5Lt and 15Lt pails.

Thinning: Dilute with up to 100% component B (D200) when used on walls and  50-60% with component B (D200) when used on roofs.

Coverage: 14 – 16 m2/L per coat on properly prepared surfaces.

Drying time: 4-6 hours depending on atmospheric conditions.

Note: Tools must be cleaned immediately after use with White Spirit. Temperature must be above 5°C and below 40°C during application and drying time.

New surfaces of plaster, concrete, cement, plaster board, etc., should be sanded with a suitable abrasive paper, cleaned properly and then painted with DUROLUX. Surfaces should be clean, dry and smooth, free from dust, grease loose or flaking paint. Stir well before use.

Store in accordance with local regulations, in a dry, cool and well-ventilated area. Containers that have been opened must be carefully resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage.

Flammable. May cause skin dryness. Keep away from children. Toxic to aquatic organisms. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. If swallowed seek medical advice and show this container or label. Do not empty into drains.
